Salary packaging

What is salary packaging? Due to Multitasks tax status as a Not for Profit organisation, we are able to offer salary packaging to our staff members. Participation in our salary packaging program means you can save on the amount of tax you pay which leaves more money in your pocket each fortnight.

How does it work? With salary packaging, you agree to divert a portion of your fortnightly salary to pay off your mortgage, rent, other loans or credit card expenses.  Then you just pay tax on the amount that is left.  This means you pay less tax.

Who is eligible? Full salary packaging is available to permanent part time and full time staff, i.e. for mortgages, rent, credit cards and other loans. Casuals are eligible to salary package credit card payments only. Casuals must be working at least 15 hours per week.

How much can I package? Eligible employees are able to sacrifice $15,288 pro rata of gross salary and pay no tax on this amount.  All tax savings are passed directly on to the employee.

How do I benefit? In effect, it means the salary you are earning is worth $1000’s of dollars more.

Please note: Superannuation is calculated on base salary.
